Within 1 business day we ask for your website address, business name, city or service area, and what you do. Optional: up to 3 competitors, your public Google Business Profile link, and pages you want us to look at.
We build your questions
About 40 questions like "best roofer in [your city]" or "emergency plumber open Saturday near [area]", plus a few that ask about you by name. You can change any of them.
We ask the assistants
Each question goes to ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity through their official APIs, once each. We record who was named, in what order, and which websites were cited when the assistant shows sources.
We check your public pages
Our own checker (the same one behind our free tools) reads your robots.txt and public pages for blocked AI search crawlers, missing LocalBusiness schema, and name/address/phone mismatches. It respects your robots.txt.
You get your report
A PDF with what the assistants said and a prioritized fix list, within 3 business days of receiving your details. We answer questions about it for 30 days. If we can't complete your audit, we refund you in full.

What we can and can't tell you
- We query models through their official APIs, within the providers' terms. We do not log in to or automate the consumer ChatGPT, Gemini, or Perplexity apps.
- Gemini is asked without live Google Search. Google's API terms limit how search-grounded answers can be stored and shared, so we ask Gemini without its search feature. Its answers reflect what the model already knows, and it lists no sources.
- Results can differ from the consumer apps. Answers vary by model version, settings, location, personalization, and even from one run to the next. Our report is a consistent, repeatable sample — not a copy of what every customer sees.
- No ranking guarantees. Nobody outside these companies controls what an AI assistant recommends. Our fixes are based on public guidance from search and AI providers and on general good practice; they can improve your chances but cannot guarantee a mention.
- Public information only. We never ask for passwords or account access, never log in to your accounts, and never change anything on your site or listings.
- Not advice outside marketing. Reports cover website and listing basics. They aren't legal, licensing, or other professional advice.
- Not affiliated. LocalCited is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OpenAI, Google, or Perplexity. Product names are used only to describe what we test.

FAQ
Why would AI assistants recommend a local business at all?
People increasingly ask assistants questions like "who's a good electrician near me?". When an assistant has web search turned on, it looks up pages and listings and then names businesses in its answer. If you're not in those sources — or they're inconsistent — you're easy to skip. Our guide explains what is publicly known.
Will you guarantee I show up in ChatGPT?
No. No one can honestly guarantee that. We measure, explain what we see, and suggest fixes grounded in public guidance from the providers. Anyone promising guaranteed AI rankings is overselling.
Why might my results differ from what I see on my phone?
We use the official APIs so results are repeatable and within the providers' terms. Consumer apps may use different model versions, your location, your chat history, or other personalization. Treat our report as a consistent benchmark you can track over time.
How long does the audit take?
We email you within 1 business day of your order to ask for a few details, and send your report within 3 business days of receiving them. If we can't finish it, we tell you and refund you in full.
Do you need my passwords or access to my accounts?
No, never. We only use public information: your website, the answers the AI assistants give through their official APIs, and any public listing details you choose to send us. Never send us a password.
What's in the fix list?
Practical tasks such as: completing and verifying your Google Business Profile, keeping your name/address/phone identical everywhere, adding LocalBusiness structured data, writing clear service and FAQ pages, and making sure your robots.txt doesn't block AI search crawlers like OAI-SearchBot or PerplexityBot.
Do you do the fixes for me?
No. The list is written so you, your web person, or your agency can do it, with copy-paste snippets where possible. White-label reports for agencies are coming soon with the Agency plan.
Do you contact my competitors or post anything about me?
No. We only run questions and read the answers. We never post reviews, create listings, or contact anyone on your behalf.
Can I cancel?
The $49 audit is a one-time purchase with nothing to cancel. Solo and Agency aren't open yet; when they open, monthly plans will be cancellable any time and won't renew after the current period.
